One of our readers, Sharon, has recommended her "homesteading bible", The Encyclopedia of Country Living: An Old Fashioned Recipe Book by Carla Emery. No, she swears it's not a recipe book. And since we, around here are always open to suggestions and LOVE information I thought I'd pass along the tip.
